Hello All
The recently concluded SAP Teched bangalore showcased a very high focus on SAP Lumira and I also could attend some good session on SAP Lumira.
Given below is my experiance with this beautiful tool.
Do you know how many Foreign Tourist Arrivals ( FTA ) visit India in an year ? And from which country they visit the most ?
Going through this link I could get the detailed statistics of FTA's to India. This is how I managed to analyse the dataset using SAP Lumira
In the year 2012 6.5 Million FTA visited India. If you see the Regionwise distribution , Asian Countries contributed the most.
And If you see the speard of the FTA , you can see that the spread is across the globe.
The below Tag cloud chart might amaze you when you get to know which country is visiting India the most
Now I wanted to know the purpose of visit of the FTA and this showed some interesting categories and statistics. I had to merge two datasets to get this details
From the below chart we can conclude the purpose of FTA are mainly for Leisure & Holiday and for Business & Professions. This shows that India has high scope for Tourism and also for business developments
And the Regionwise Purpose categories is as below
Same analysis done using Radar chart gives more clarity
Bubble chart helps in analysing which country is more interested in Business & Profession
and for Leisure and Holidays analysis as below
Interesting to see the below details of 10 Most popular Centrally Protected Ticketed Monuments for Foreign Visitors in 2012 and Happy to see our Great Taj on the top of the list.
I could get on and on with the analysis with SAP Lumira. The facts where interesting and could be easily analysed using this tool. Participating in this Data Geek Challenge has helped me to understand the versatility of SAP Lumira.
Wishing Happy Christmas and prosperous newyear to all the readers...
Long Live Data Geek!!!.
